This app is great and there are real people who answer your questions! I emailed them to see how many decks the trainer is using. (It's 8 by the way) And a real person emailed me back!! I haven't been to a casino since late 2019 so this app is helping me get back in the groove for when all the masks and junk are over! You will really like all this app has to offer!

Card counting drill

The blackjack card counting trainer lets you practice the Hi-Lo count online at your own pace. This is a simple yet effective technique to keep track of the cards played and how they affect your chances of winning. As a result, you can change your betting strategy based on the current count.

The card counting practice tool is part of our free online blackjack simulator software for iOS and Android.

You start by choosing how often the game asks you the count and how many decks you want to count. For example, you can check the count after each hand or every 10 hands, and go through up to 8 decks.

In the drill, you don't need to play, you just count the card values. The game asks you the running count between hands, meaning you need to also keep track of the previous rounds. At the end of the drill, the game asks you the final count.

Strategy chart

You can access the strategy chart any time you're using the blackjack trainer. It tells you whether you should hit or stand, double down or split your hand.

You can view the basic strategy chart in the main menu of the app. The same chart is also available in the basic strategy drill by clicking the "i" button.

We wanted to make the basic strategy chart very easy to use on mobile. That's why it's split into three tabs:

TIP: Soft hands have an ace that can be counted as either 1 or 11 without going over 21, e.g. 8-A. Hard hands don't feature an ace at all or it can be counted only as a 1, e.g. 7-7-A. Pairs have two cards with the same value, e.g. 7-7 or 10-Q.

How to read the basic strategy chart?

To know what you need to do in each situation, you need to compare your hand to the dealer's hand.

The player hands are on the left-hand side of the chart and the dealer hands are on the top. The statistically best move is at their intersection.

EXAMPLE: Your cards have a total value of 14 and the dealer is showing a 7. You'll need to find 14 on the left-hand side and 7 at the right. As you can see from the image below, you should hit.

What rules version does this chart use?

Our blackjack trainer game and the basic strategy chart in it use the set of rules usually found in online blackjack:

These rules result in a house edge of 0.61% or an RTP of 99.39%.
