Casino Action (UK) is on the older side of British online casinos being founded way back in 2008. Forming part of the Casino Rewards Group, they have successfully gained prominence for their safe and fair gaming environment.

However, this site looked pretty outdated from first impressions, and things certainly didn't improve once I started to play.

Casino Action currently has an okay 650+ casino game library powered by leading software game developer Microgaming. The catalogue of games entails slot games, card and table games as well as video poker. Whatever your game preferences or bankroll, there is a game for you.

Overall, I'd say I had a mediocre experience. There are some good-quality games here, but browsing the catalogue has been made unnecessarily complicated. Playing on mobile was just a bit better than on desktop, but still far from comfortable. The large welcome bonus package looks great, but the ridiculously high wagering nearly made me laugh out loud in disbelief. So, a lot of 'buts' here to be considered.

Casino Action's site is also licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. Additionally, all games use a random number generator to ensure fair and impartial results.

To claim this welcome package, follow the below simple steps:

  2. Confirm your casino account by email
  3. Deposit a minimum of £10 or more
  4. Your welcome offer will be automatically added to your casino account
  5. Make more deposits to claim reload bonuses

I found that the welcome bonus offer here works in a pretty confusing way. Rather than my £40 real cash balance being used up first and then my £40 bonus balance, they are both used at the same time.

When I started playing any game, I got a pop-up warning that I was about to play with bonus funds. My bets were split between my bonus and real cash balances with each spin, so if I bet £1, then it would take £0.50 from each pot. The same would apply to any winnings with an equal split being added back to each balance each time.

This was all pretty annoying as it made it hard to know exactly where I stood with my wagering requirements. If I could never deplete either balance first, then it made it impossible to start the wagering process.

However, this didn't really matter as a quick glance at the terms of the bonus showed me that the wagering was a ridiculous 200 times (B). This is the highest I've ever seen at an online casino and makes the offer a total joke which is best left well alone. I soon made a withdrawal to cancel the bonus and carried on playing with my real cash balance only.

Casino Action is home to 650+ casino games, covering a wide range of entertainment options, including online slots, card and table games as well as progressive jackpots. The entire collection of casino games is supplied by prominent game supplier Microgaming.

This industry veteran is renowned for its top-notch slot games with impressive attention to detail. If you are after the most popular slot machines on the market, there is Immortal Romance, Thunderstruck II, Break da Bank Again, Treasure Nile and Lost Vegas.

The jackpot section is also home to one of the most famous games in the world: Mega Moolah. You can also try your hand at King Cashalot, Cash Splash, Tunzamunni and LotsALoot.

Alternatively, you can enjoy variants of games such as Blackjack, Roulette and Video Poker. Some of these games come with a jackpot prize attached to them, including Caribbean Draw Poker and Triple Sevens. I tried a few rounds of the Video Table Game, Sapphire Roulette and hit a streak of winning bets on red so left very happy.

Finding the games I wanted to play was a pretty poor experience at Casino Action. There's no search function or ability to select games by the developer. All you get are a few random groupings of the games on offer to pick from.

Overall, the games I tried played without any issues but were sometimes slow to load initially, and one did crash upon loading, and I had to refresh my browser.

Desktop game information

  • Games 650
  • Slots 550

Casino Action's live casino section is home to some of the most popular games in the industry. These include Live Blackjack, Live Roulette, Live Baccarat, Live Casino Hold'em, Live Caribbean Stud Poker and Live Texas Hold'em amongst many others.

All the games are set in a professional live studio with a real-life dealer and croupier to present the games.

There's no mobile app to download, so I loaded up the site on my Android device using the Chrome browser. It was difficult to log in as there's no button to do that. I had to click ‘Tap Here to Play' again, check the terms box, scroll down and then click ‘Already Have an Account?'. Why not just add a login button to the homepage as any other website does?

Once I'd entered the stupidly long username and my password and hit enter the screen flashed around for a bit and then eventually loaded the promotions screen. It was annoying not to just land in the casino lobby.

All the games loaded and played without any issues on mobile and it seemed to be slightly smoother than the desktop experience.

Once I'd entered my card details, I hit deposit, and after a few nervous seconds of delay, my funds went through. This was confirmed by another flashing pop-up which also mentioned the second deposit bonus, but it felt a bit early to think about that.

When it came to making a withdrawal, things were equally straightforward. Clicking on the ‘Banking' menu and then ‘Withdrawals' gave me the option to extract my winnings from the casino. I selected Visa/Mastercard and saw my saved deposit method. Selecting this, I entered the amount manually and then checked the terms box to complete my request.

The message stated that it would be processed within 1 business day subject to satisfactory validation checks. I got the email to confirm my withdrawal request just over 8 hours later, better late than never I guess.

It took just under 20 hours for my withdrawal to be approved by the casino but then a further 60 plus hours for the funds to land in my bank account via Mastercard Debit. It was a total time of 3.3 days, mainly held up at the payment provider side of things.

Tapping on the ‘Help' tab at the bottom of the screen gave me access to the Live Chat function. I clicked on the Web 1.0 style button and a chat box opened up. My call was answered in just a few seconds by one of the casino's support agents. They were helpful enough and answered my question about withdrawals with a polite but standard reply.

The major drag here is that the text is aligned to the right of the chatbox which made typing out messages a real pain and always put a question mark in the wrong place. I'm not sure what was going on, but it made me feel a bit drunk just trying to chat with the support agent.

Looking around the site, there's a pretty shocking lack of information. The ‘Help' screen just has the Live Chat button and an email address and the ‘Profile' page has some very limited options. There's no FAQ section to be found anywhere either, so beyond the live chat support, I felt pretty much on my own to figure things out.

  • Email support: ✅
  • Live support:
  • Phone support: ❌

I searched around the Casino Action site, but there was no info on account verification to be found anywhere. The welcome email didn't mention it either, that was all about the Loyalty Scheme instead. The only info I did get was when I asked about my withdrawal.

The support agent informed me that the 1 day waiting time is to "run mandatory security checks to ensure the funds are sent to you, the correct recipient". It seems pretty poor not to provide some kind of heads up about the inevitable KYC checks, but the lack of an FAQ section on the site didn't help.

As it turned out, I was able to withdraw my funds without any further details or documentation being required. I'm sure that if I kept on playing at this casino (not very likely!), then I'd get an email request for some proof of address etc.

You'll be requested to send in the following documentation, but not limited to:

  • Proof of ID (passport, driving license, ID card)
  • Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, official government letter)
  • Proof of Payment Method

Casino Action values their players and wants them to enjoy their products responsibly. It is their mission to provide players with an entertaining gambling experience, but it is also their duty to prevent compulsive usage of their gaming products.

They have implemented a number of tools which promote responsible gambling:

  • Deposit Limits
  • Game Time Reminder
  • Account Closure
  • Time-Out
  • Access to Account History
  • Self-Exclusion

If gambling becomes a problem, you might want to get in touch with organisations which can provide help and support to individuals who have a gambling problem.

It is strongly recommend that you get in touch with BeGambleAware, Gamcare and Gamblers Anonymous.
